Possible Wakeboarding Fund
: Addressed to ONLY the friends of mine whom I always go wakeboarding with and those whom I will be going with soon :) I don't mean to sound selfish or anything lol. I just urgently need to hear from them first. PLEASE SEND ME AN OFFLINE MSN MESSAGE AFTER YOU GUYS READ THIS!! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!! :D

Ok everyone, my dad will not be able to bring us wakeboarding at Punggol for a while coz he hurt his leg again.

Thinking of it, we might have to start some sort of savings thingy if we have to go dutch coz wakeboarding is expensive. Obviously we won't have to pay if an adult/parent is with us but what about the times where its just us alone??

We have 2 options for now:

- normal wakeboarding at Punggol
Weekdays: $90 per hour
Weekends: $100 per hour
4 hours in a row: $330 (weekdays) or $350 (weekends)
Closes at 6-7pm I think
Closed on sundays I think

1 boat- max 6 ppl (no diff in rates regardless of whether there is 1 person or 6 ppl)
So I recommend we herd up 6 ppl everytime we go.

- cable-skiing wakeboarding at East Coast

WEEKDAYS
1 Hour - $32
2 Hours - $48
4 Hours - $70
8 Hours - $115
*1 Round - $7
Subsequent hour 16/hr (Rates apply only on purchase of 2 hours pass and above)

WEEKENDS/ PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
1 Hour - $42
2 Hours - $64
4 Hours - Not Available
8 Hours - Not Available
*1 Round - $9
Subsequent hour- $22/hr
Students enjoy $5 off usual hour passes upon presenting their student pass
*Student rates apply till 7pm not available for night skiing

So there it is. I think cable-skiin should be a last resort only if we are desperate maybe?? Its usually crowded too so I think its best to go there on weekdays or weekday nights perhaps??

Don't tell me how to live my life and stop commenting on it. So what if im an only child?? Im not spoilt. You wanna know what spoilt is?? You wanna know what a materialistic person who spends money like water is like?? You wanna know what a problematic unreasonable person is like?? I CAN show you what its like. Just open your damn mouth and tell me so.

My character is not like that. But if you want to generalise me as that type of person. Then im happy to be like that JUST FOR YOU :)

I DO care and feel about those who are less fortunate. But stop trying to make their problems MY problem because I have a life to live too. And I don't have time for this. Do you honestly think that I care if someone is like dying at the other end of the globe?? Yeah I do I guess. But its not like I can do anything about it RIGHT??

Ok ok, I know this entry is a lil late but at least its here right?? :)

Sat 7th of Nov: The afternoon was basically spent wakeboarding. Geryll and Joel were the 2 new ppl on board the boat in addition to the usuals (me, my dad, nat & tiff). Wakeboarding this time wasn't so condusive coz the waters were really choppy. Everyone of us like fell really hard all the time. My dad thought he burst his lung when he fell chest down, I smashed my nose when I fell face down and Tiff, Nat, Joel & Geryll weren't so lucky either.

The birthday dinner (it was my actual birthday btw) was at 7.3o at MYSG of course. I had a Spanish inspired dinner with like tapas for starters, paella for the main course and a free flow of alcoholic drinks like sangria, bellinis, margaritas, long island iced teas, electric iced teas, archipelago beers and so on. All thrown into a private alfresco patio done up in a lounge setting with candles and latin music. It was fantastic and I sincerely want to thank unc Paul for helping me make this party happen.

After dinner and stuff, unc Paul gave me this watermelon with a hole drilled into it and a straw poked through. Assuming that it was watermelon juice, I just took it and started gulping like a fish. It turned out to be pure vodka. I was stunned but it tasted quite mild actually. The watermelon was then passed around to everyone to take a few gulps. After all the vodka was drained out into our tummies, the watermelon was cut and the flesh hollowed out for everyone to share. It was superb.

Finally it was the cake cutting ceremony after an hour or so of chatting and lounging and drinking. The cake was a fabulous chocolate torte from the Hilton. I couldn't finish it though coz I was busy guzzling down glasses of electric iced teas. I had like 5 glasses of those in addition to a few glasses of sangria, a bellini, a margarita, some beer and long island iced tea and the vodka in the watermelon. lol. After more hours of chatting and lounging (and drinking), Geryll and the notsofunnians except Jing Zhi and Kenneth decided to go to Plush. I was asked to come along but I had to turn it down (despite some protests) coz it was already past 12 and I needed to wake up early the next day for a catamaran sail clinic at Changi the next day.

Yay im finally 18!! This is like one of the best parties I have ever had!! (I say that every year) And I want to thank all my friends for coming over!!
Thank you especially:
Dora, Natasha & Yan Yi for the Brazillian Music CD and Starbucks thermal tumbler
Geryll, Hong Yi, Jing Zhi, Yee Seng, Kenneth & Eng How for the Pierre Cardin wallet
Joel for the Valentino eau de toilette
Nat, Mel , unc Paul & Tiff for helping out with the party planning and the Brazillian dinner and dessert at Macaron
Adele for the really nice little designer cakes (that I forgot to bring back from the restaurant :o) aaahhhh!!!!!!!!!

Sat:
Had an EARLY BIRTHDAY dinner with uncle Paul, Nat, Mel and Tiff at the Brazillian Churrascaria after church. It was amazing. Basically there is this self-service salad bar where you can get a free flow of veggies and carbs such as salad greens, beans, mixed rice and potato salad. And after you are comfortably tucked in with your food, the waiters will come around every table slicing different cuts and types of meats and sides from a giant skewer INDIVIDUALLY for everyone. The restaurant boasts 40 different cuts and varieties although I only counted 8 that night (excluding the roasted pineapple, smoked fish and new potatoes) To top it up, uncle Paul got for us a bottle of Argentinian red wine after that for the sake of making the meal more complete. It was terrific!! :)

After dinner, we drove down to Robertson Quay to have dessert at this new establishment called Macaron, which was under Les Amis. It was an extremely interesting place although its sister outlet Canele seemed more popular. Let me just provide a quick rundown of the desserts that we had there.

Rose Bombe (Tiffanie)- rose petal ice cream with frozen raspberry jelly and almond nougatine encased in a rose meringue

Raspberry Granite (Natalie)- includes milk choc foam with homemade hazelnut praline and hazelnut nougatine

One,Two,Tea (Melissa)- raspberry espuma with milk choc tea parfait, chocolate tea cream and a cocoa bean tuile

Dark Chocolate Parfait (me) -orange caramel with dark choc cream and lime aioli topped with a toasted chocolate brioche

And of course after eating, all of us had to take a stroll. So we had a nice and leisurely walk down by the river. I am extremely thankful to unc Paul and the girls for doing all these for me :)

Sunday:
Took the MRT to Tampines station to meet unc Kok Hwa before driving down to Changi for sailing.......as usual. Scott, Alice and Campbell were already at the club when we arrived so they helped us a bit with the rigging up of Katana. An hour later, we were all ready to go. So unc Kok Hwa was the helmsman for the day while I was doing the crewing. But just when we picked up speed when sailing in the direction of Pulau Ubin, we made a wrong move.......and capsized. No, actually turning turtle will be a more accurate description. Unc Kok Hwa fell straight into the sea but I was left dangling in mid-air coz my right leg was caught on this strap. As I was struggling to like get out of this position, I could feel the strap cutting into the back of my calf. Anyway after I fell suit into the sea, these kids and Campbell who were on another catamaran jumped in to help us. The club's rescue team and so on also came along with Scott and Alice. After like freakin long, all of us managed to tilt the boat back up. But not before its left hull slammed down straight onto the side of my head. Oww!!!!!! We had a friendly race with Scott and this french guy after that where I went out on the trapeze (and injured my little toe) at the Loyang area before returning to shore to wash up and heading to town for dinner.

Mon:
Went to school today as usual before heading with about half of the class to Kenneth's house. It was an amazing place with an incredible resort feel. Stayed there for a while before going back to school for lecture and an I.S meeting.

Ok.........so here is my post on the recent Halloween party that I was at. I was so excited the night before coz when the clock struck midnight and crossed over to the 31st of October, the wind suddenly started howling, followed by rumbles of thunder and soon, a storm was tearing throughout the area. In my head, I couldn't stop saying...........Happy Halloween everyone. For today and just today, spirits have come out to play. Enjoy it while it lasts!! :D

Anyway back to the party.Basically I left school as early as I could so that I can help Melissa out with the preparation and stuff. Apparently Tiffanie had invited 11 other ppl besides the original group of people meant to be at this Halloween pool party. How shocking!! Plus they were all girls so the only guys at the party were me and Ricky. lol .Still had a great time though. Me and Melissa assumed the roles of the party planners and yes everyone we did quite a decent job. After dinner and everything was done, Tiffanie suggested a night swim. Although I brought my boardies and trunks along, I felt that it was time for me to leave coz I had school tommorow. So I packed up, said goodbye and left. Brief right?? Not really actually, I am juz keepin my story short and sweet :p

glow in the dark cobwebs. What can possibly be better??

Halloween last night was great and I am extremely thankful to those who helped me make the party possible (you know who you are ;) ). I will be blogging about it soon but for now.......let me steer your attention to this 'interesting' incident that just happened recently.

Well.........what can I say about these 3 brits?? They are disrespectful, rude, insensitive and probably harbour the thought of 'white supremacy'. How ignorant. No wonder Britain is thought to be experiencing a 'cultural erosion'( not true actually). For those of you who don't know the story, feel free to visit decayonnet.blogspot.com. He has the full details of this typical 'I am a white so I am above all races and cultures' story.

I am not a racist, nor am I generalising the British coz that will make me no better than Mr Bo Davis n crew (those ppl in the pics). Plus I was staying in London for quite some time a few months ago and I can safely say that the UK is a great place and that the people there are actually really nice. I myself stayed with a British family for a while and they are possibly the best people in the world that I have come across so far.

But yet again, you have homo sapiens like these 3 who not only disgrace their people and country, but have the nerve to actually say that they will not be treated this way if they were ASIANS. Wow, what a 'clever' way of getting out of a tight spot. Plus that Bo said that the scathing responses that he got from posting the video on YouTube were INTERESTING. I am speechless. I wonder if these guys feel any guilt or remorse but judging from their brainless act, I think they are probably too dumb to do that.

I am not sure where exactly in the UK they are from but I heard from some sources that they are from Liverpool. Oh well, guess they just helped establish a bad name for their fellow Northeners.

I am missing one pic of their 3rd member. But I guess its not very important now is it??

2 sailing days in a row on Sat and Sun on board Katana (the new catamaran) That really made my weekend!! :D I was doing both the helming and crewing on board (as well as the rigging up and down of course). It was rather fun although more difficult compared to a single hulled boat. Since we were all still beginners, we were constantly being supervised by Alice and Campbell. Wanted to ask Scott if he could crew with us on sun but he was overseas:( oh well..............

Thats my post for both sat n sun :) Go figure out what it means.........if u wanna.....lol :D

3 eventful days in a row last week, so i'll juz blog them all at one go ;)

Friday
Class ended at 8pm on friday so I had to quickly rush out of campus after dismissal to get a cab to MYSG for dinner. Apparently, Chisato was back in Singapore for 4 days so unc Paul decided to throw her a dinner. It was so good to see her!! The last time I talked to her was like........6 years ago?? She has a son now with her Indonesian husband and apparently, she is not allowed to speak Japanese to him coz her mother-in-law wouldn't let her. What a tyrant. So basically those at the dinner are as usual Nat, Mel, Tiff, Unc Paul and me.......Chisato and her son Liew (I think its spelt that way) as well as Tomoko and Lica. We had such a pleasant time together :D

Saturday
Went for lunch with unc Paul, Nat, Mel and Tiff at River Valley. Got some junky tit bits at nearby 7-11 after that before dropping Mel off at Kim somethin road coz she was givin this 19 year old girl PAID tuition on English Literature.....which was why she couldn't join us for wakeboardin :( How sad. Anyway after all that, we got lost........how nice. But we still made it to the club on time. Our skipper and boat were already waitin for us so we wasted no time in changin and jumpin on board before driving out to sea. Wakeboardin was terrific. We did it for 3 hours only this time though but we still learnt a lot. I finally could board smoothly on heelside and toeside without hesitating or falling and even learnt how to jump!! Unfortunately, my camera like went crazy after a while so the only possible shot that I could get out of this outing is of me (coz I was the first person to wakeboard). Had dinner after that at this amazing German restaurant called Werner's Oven. Their cheese sausage with sauerkraut and mash was so good and their kale was so substantial while their weissbier was simply refreshing. Yes I know I love food a lot.........but thats juz me ;)

Sunday
Did the usual in the morn. Breakfast with me family and visitin my grandma and grandaunt. Went to the sailin club a lil earlier in the afternoon after that coz unc Kok Hwa was crewin for Scott on that day as there was an ambassador's cup catamaran race. The stupid club was idiotically packed that day coz of the event so I had to rent a locker to put my stuff inside. How pinching. Anyway, me n my dad took out a Laser and Laser Pico respectively to sail since the wind was good and bcoz we wanted to see if we could catch a glimpse of the catamaran race out at sea. My dad went out all the way to Pulau Ubin while I sailed along the shipping channel between Loyang and Changi beach. The wind was good at first but it got really erratic after that, so it was almost impossible for me to return to shore coz everytime I was nearin it, the wind would change and blow me away. I was sooooo pissed. Oh. Plus when I returned to shore, I cut myself on Katana's wires and ended up christening this brand new catamaran with my blood.........how nice. Thankfully, unc Kok Hwa came in second in the race. The winner was James. This really pro and olympic standard sailor. But second was good enough for all of us, especially since its unc Kok Hwa's first time crewing on a catamaran. He wants me to be his helmsman in the future. I can hardly wait :D

the club after the race........I think loads of sailors were congregating at the main building coz there was free booze there . Of course I wouldn't let such a golden chance fly by me so I got myself a margarita before leaving
